Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies will have the same impact on our daily life as the advent of the internet 20 years ago. As a strong supporterof the Swiss Cryptovalley here in Korea, I am extremely happy to see that young Korean talents are getting interested in these new technologies and concepts. I sincerely congratulate BBR for the organization of the Block Camp Hackathon in Seoul, and wish youevery success.

"I want to congratulate you, the BBR team, and National Blockchain Youth-Student Council for hosting and organizing Block Camp Hackathon Seoul this weekend. This month, I visited Korea to engage with legislators and businesses to support innovation-friendly blockchain policy development and to participate in the launch of the Global Blockchain Policy Council, spearheaded by a bipartisan group of Congresspersons from Korea.

During the visit, the GBBC team was encouraged by the level of talent, enthusiasm, and dedication witnessed from young entrepreneurs and government officials alike in nurturing the new technology. Block Camp Hackathon is yet another example that demonstrates Korea's commitment to becoming a leader in the global blockchain space.

On behalf of GBBC*, I would like to extend our warmest congratulations to all the participants, organizers, and sponsors of the Block Camp Hackathon for paving the way for Korean youth to lead the fourth industrial revolution. "

Malta Parliamentary Secretary for Financial Services,

Digital Economy and Innovation

Honorable Silvio Schembri

“First and foremost, I would like to forward my sincere congratulations for managing to be present for this BBR event. It is a nice opportunity to challenge yourself. It will also be an opportunity to learn from others, to see other things from a different perspective. More importantly it will be an opportunity  to discover yourself more.

Discovering oneself means being more open to ideas, more creative, and less afraid to try new things. Innovation thrives on those traits.

So I encourage you to unleash your creativity and look for solutions outside the limits imposed by the present constraints. It does not matter from where you come from but what is important is having the right attitude.

An attitude of ‘can do’.

Malta Digital Innovation Authority

CEO, Mr. Stephen McCarthy

Blockchain and other Distributed Ledger Technologies bring about new ways to decentralise services, which will enable for more efficient and transparent services with trust inherently built-in.

The new technology brings about new challenges, especially when used for financial and other safety-critical applications. To provide a higher level of assurance to users, the Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA) has released a system audit framework to be used for such technology.

It is importantthat students equip themselves with the required technical skills to develop DLT systems in a secure manner, and we therefore congratulate BBR for organising a much needed hackathon in this area.

In the Fourth Industrial Revolution, big fours are AI, IOT, Big Data, and Blockchain. If the other three techologies will increase the "efficiency and convenience" of human society,  I believe that the blockchain will promote "trust".  I sincerely congratulate your BBR Global Hackerthon in Seoul. I look forward to inspiring a lot of excellent start-up ideas for  future society and more decentralized world.
